they call it customer care
Odd thing - a few days back I tried to sign on for internet banking - something I have manged to do every day or so for the last decade - and after a bit a screen appears telling me I am locked out. Phone call centre, dude tells me it not me locked out but a technical problem and all will be well a bit later; next day locked out still phone call centre, arugementative girl tells me I have locked myself out, I try to explain about the night before and basically get the finger. Enraged write to the bank, who write back with evasive expalination that I was not locked out through technical problems - so, why did they say otherwise? the little demon who run banking told them.

Other odd thing was last week the cops appeared on the doorstep saying they were responing to my compaint about the house enextdoor, giving a house number that did not exist. Very weird - they wandered off saying it was a spoof call. Then couple of days later N. who I work with had a rather similar story - is this the evenge of the Drunk?
